RentalApplicationMaker is a small, independent tool for landlords and property managers who need a professional rental application without signing up for property-management software or a legal-forms trial.

Why we built it

Most free rental applications are fixed PDFs, or free only until the applicant pays a screening fee. We wanted a form you can customize in two minutes, that prints your state's fee notice, and that keeps sensitive numbers off the internet.

How we check our content

Our guides and state notes are written by the RentalApplicationMaker editorial team and checked against primary sources: the official statute pages for California Civil Code § 1950.6, New York Real Property Law § 238-a, Washington RCW 59.18.257, Oregon ORS 90.295, Virginia Code § 55.1-1203, Minnesota Statutes § 504B.173 and Maryland Real Property § 8-213, plus the Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. § 3604) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681m). Anything we have not verified is marked "check your state's current rules". We are not a law firm and our content is not legal advice.

Privacy by design

The free form is made in your browser. The Pro online application never collects Social Security numbers or bank numbers and deletes applications automatically. Read the privacy policy.
